PhL Industries Cab throttle is a throttle that is based on the...

.... HandCab above and ( HERE ) but is laid out like a throttle on the trams of Milan, Italy that were first built in 1928 and are still in use. The PhL Industries Cab throttle was designed by Philippe Latry of Bordeaux, France. Philippe did some major CAD work to design the throttle to use some of the basic inter-workings of the HandCab. It uses the same software that was written by Peter Akers (EngineDriver developer). "PhL Industries Cab" is a play on Philippe's name.

... of the throttle found in the trams of Milan shown above.

The controls are similar in how they control a loco to the HandCab. One exception though is .....

..... the brake, which is also notched, with the final notch being full braking. The HandCab's brake has no notches. Both are progressive and you set the braking rate over the range. You also set the speeds for each of the throttle notches and can set different speed and braking/coasting momentum’s that work on all locos being controlled.

The throttle uses a lot of the case and controls from the WiTcontroller and HandCab Throttle you can also build but follows the Milan tram throttles as far as throttle design.

The PhL Industries Cab Controller and the HandCab along with most Android and Apple WiFi devices running supported throttle apps will work with any WiThrottle Server such as JMRI, DCC-EX, MRC WiFi, Digitrax LnWi, NCE (WiFi/DCC NCE Cab Bus Interface), TCS CS-105 (Using WiFiTrax WFD-30 or WFD-31) and others.
