…..............--- 1950's White COE Fuel Truck – Standalone Object ---
.........--- Or used as an Object on top of the Switch Machine ---
=========================================
I'm not going to spend much time on this page as it is a repeat of two earlier pages ( HERE ) and ( HERE ) except here we have the same 50's White fuel truck with a 3 foot shorter wheelbase. Again I made this from a 2 dimensional picture with no scale on it for me to go by and no rear shot of the truck so it is not a to scale model.
If you didn't see the two earlier pages I'd go back and look at them as they will give you more information on the truck and how it can be use alone on the layout or to help cameouflage a switch machine that is also described on these pages.
You can find all the files to 3D print the shorter truck and the switch machine deck on my thingiverse.come account ( HERE ).
As mentioned above I just took some out of the tanker part of the truck to make it 3 feet shorter. Other than that it is the same.
You can print the truck out to use standalone or on top of the switch machine. They are different files so go to the one that you need. The one that goes into the switch machine deck has a long glue tab on the bottom so wouldn't lay flat if used alone on the layout.
I gave one of the long wheelbase trucks a fast paint job that is suppose to look like it has been in service for some time.
There are a couple different wheel/tire styles you can print out. I added a 5 spoke and the other two styles are the plain shown in front above and the 4 spoke shown there also. You want to use the larger wheels/tires on the back and the smaller on the front.
I'm pretty happy with this and how it came out for my first attempt at making a vehicle based on only a drawing.
The pictures that you are seeing are a lot larger than the actual truck model. I feel from normal viewing distances it looks fine.
