I was looking for small decoders that would be easier to install in older DC locos and made up the following two charts of sizes, functions and costs (2019). These are are 'wired-in' decoders and not 'drop-in' decoders. Do your own searches for current suppliers and pricing.

I have nothing business wise with Litchfield Station in Phoenix, AZ but have bought quite a few decoders from them. Their pricing seems about as low as anyone and they have a $4.00 flat rate shipping charge which is usually better than most and seem to have good stock and ship promptly.
