I wanted some ladders for different scenes on the layout so started designing some. There were limitations as to what I could accomplish with a FDM 3D printer but in the end I came up with a compromise that I was pretty happy with.

I have files to print different lengths but it is just as easy and about as fast and cheap to just print the long one and cut it to length.

The step distance is a little off vs. real ladders and the rungs and sides are also a little off but for FDM 3D printing this was about the best I could come up with. Still at normal viewing distances I think they are fine, at least fine for me.

You can also print the truck and tank by downloading files on my thingiverse account (see top or bottom of this page for a link).

Above you get a more realistic idea of the size of the ladder. To me it is amazing that with a $250 printer we are able to print items like this for our layout. I love the design work and the Ender 3 Pro is a joy to work with. I can design, print and design some more and print again, all within a few minutes as I develop an idea using Fusion 360 and the printer.
