......................--- New Pirelli MT21 Tires ---
When I purchased the 200 it had the stock Bridgestone tires and I hated them for the riding I was doing which is about 80%-90% hard dirt, loose dirt, loose rock, solid rock and some sand. The front especially didn't have a good feel to it in most conditions. I read and read about replacement tires and finally settled on Pirelli MT21's for the front and rear of the bike. I'd considered mixing brands like some had but finally decided to stick with the Pirelli's front and rear.
I couldn't be happier with these tires for the riding I'm doing and surprisingly they stick good on the street and I never feel insecure with them riding on pavement. I've put on about 1200 miles as I write this and they look great and aren't wearing in a weird pattern, but again they don't have many mile on them on pavement. One area they have been great on is on deeply rutted trails where you either have to ride on the narrow/high center or on the sides of the ruts. The side knobs allow you to ride the sides with way more confidence than the Bridgestones did. In fact the Bridgestones had little or no side bite in situations like this.

I also installed a rim lock on the rear tire to make sure it wouldn't slip on the rim under lower tire pressures.
As I stated above I love these tires and ….
.. would highly recommend them if you ride in the conditions I do. Some say they wear faster on pavement than others but you just can't beat them off road and they aren't all that expensive.
