...--- Turnout Control/Switch Box and Tops for It ---
=========================================
Bottom of the box and tops were designed to hold the toggle switch, push-button switch, LED's and wiring that you use at the edge of the layout. I started with rectangular boxes and tops but then switched to the current square ones. The advantage of the square ones is that if you are ganging boxes together to create a control panel you can turn the boxes and put them next to one another in any fashion as all the sides are the same length.
Above one can see the original boxes and some of the different options for the tops of the boxes that can be printed out. Again you don't need to use these boxes. You could design a control panel and put the holes in it for the switches and LED's. I did the boxes and tops for my layout and they will probably take the place of a more traditional control panel. Some will be ganged together in a control panel configuration and others will be place wherever needed along the side of the layout by themselves or in groups as needed.
Next you will find the bottom of the box and the different top options printable at this time. You can find the print files on my thingiverse account ( HERE ).
The bottom of the box above is designed with a number of ways for you to route the wires to it from the power supply and on to the servo controller (side ends, bottom and both ends).
If you gang boxes together you might need a box without a top that has the holes for the switches and LED's. If so use the one above. Also you have ….
. the option for tops that show a straight route or ….
.. a diagonal route.
Use the one above and the next one for straight Left-hand and Right-hand turnouts.
.
Above and a number of the next tops are designed if you have curved turnouts on the layout and there are options for the route that ends up on the diagonal being either the main route or the divergent route. Routes ending on the diagonal help in ganging boxes together where one or more of the routes end up being on a corner verses being in the middle of the top.

There are also two tops that are designed to represent yard ladders, the one above and the next one.
.
I hand-laid some 3-way turnouts so made the top above that fits on two bottoms. I could of also used a straight LH and RH top on adjoining boxes.
Above are 4 of the tops after being printed on the Ender 3 Pro. I'm using 'Standard Quality' for these vs. the 'High Quality' I normally use to speed up the print time.
You can find the print files for the box bottom and the tops ( HERE ).
