These are columns I designed for a friend, Joe, on one of the train boards.

He was making a model of the Ft. Smith, AR train depot and needed columns for it. They turned out to be about 20 feet in length. I decided to put them up here and on thingiverse for anyone else that might need some columns and hopefully these might work for them.

All of the print files should have the thicker base on them. The two outer ones above were printed as a single unit and the middle one was printed with the column and top separately and then glued together.

Above is the decorative top alone and it can be printed separately if you need to cut a column below to a different length. Cut the column and glue the top to it.

I found that when printing the 20 foot column as a unit it seemed to print better upside down. Also I had less problems with the print when I only printed one at a time. If you have problems with them tipping over during the print work on getting the table level and make sure the first layers are sticking well to the table by having the extruder very close to the table's surface.

If 20 feet doesn't work for you and you need a length between 15 feet and 20 feet cut the column to length.

... a 25 foot version of the column. You can print either by themselves and cut to the length you need.
