A milestone for the layout is crossing the trestle and moving west on both sides of the backdrop with track laying. Most all the control panels are designed, printed and finished so time to lay track in earnest on the upper level.
The two tracks on the trestle appear to be a double track main but are actually two distinctly different tracks that are actually the same track. The one on the left above turns to the south once past the trestle and is the track that I was working on the turnout further above. I then goes east through a tunnel and passes past the sawmill. Then turns back west and recrosses the trestle as the track on the right side above. Essentially the trestle is used for two different scenes at different locations along the main on the upper level (one has to use some imagination here).
After the two tracks on the trestle leave its west end emerge from the tunnel to the left above they separate. The back line dives through a tunnel and the back drop to the other side of the layout (next image).
Above the track from the south side of the trestle emerges on the south side of the layout's upper level. On the layout it is physically headed west but for the track plan is headed east back towards the main town/yard on the lower level.
