I designed this camper with the goal of camping in the many of the remote locations we have in southeast Utah's canyon and mountain county we call home, San Juan County,UT. To make it more maneuverable and more suited to going into the back country it has a single 5000# axle and heavy duty tires/wheels (carry two spares).

It has 270 watts of solar panels charging two 12 volt deep cycle batteries with a Honda generator as back up if it is ever needed (not likely). The power is for a 3+ cubic foot 12 volt fridge that we have also used on the sailboats with very good results, LED lighting, and running other 12 volt items like computer, phones and I-Pad.

As I write this we have taken two short trips fairly close to home and the trailer has worked very well. A very rough high clearance dirt road into one site was no problem. Not much that we can see that needs to be addressed and hope to make a lot more trips with the trailer. Hopefully we will take the dirt bike and ATV on some of them as the trailer was also designed with hauling in mind.
