A full size pattern was made with the stanchions and other items laid out on it so that the mount could be made directly off the pattern.

.

This was used in the following steps so that I didn't have to keep putting the windlass on the platform and windlass mount.

.

The windlass will be able to rotate to the port side for that anchor or the starboard side for that anchor making it usable for both anchors.

.

The ends of the mount were left long and will be trimmed once the mount is on the boat at the yard just encase there were errors in the measurements.

The picture above was taken at the boatyard. It shows the webbing welded in under the platform to strengthen the pivot point and the complete platform. The welding was done at home.
