........I bought the Desoto about 25 years ago and never got to it with other projects getting
my attention. Time to move on from it and let someone else take it on. This is a fairly
rare car with only 300-350 build. They were used privately, in Hollywood to take actors
out to western sets, as taxi's and even as hearses. Their model name was Suburban
but are often revered to as limo's from my reading with the longer wheelbase vs. other
Desoto models with the back seat moved back. Some like this one had jump seats for
two more passengers.
At some point someone put what appears to be a 256 AMC 6 in the car. Not sure what
the transmission is. I never tried to start it as I was going to put a 350 chevy V-8 in the
care like I did with my street rod.
